Not certain that the design changes I created here are what I’m looking for and trying to maneuver my way around is still like beginning to learn that walk! Any suggestions are certainly welcomed. I’ve also offered my own domain … we’ll see how that works.

Befuddled
Well, I’m usually not so much at a loss for words but this has stumped me.
Wanting to change my blog name and tag! It’s Brain Dead time.
Let alone …. trying to decide on that SITE that will suite my writing and ramblings that I gather perfectly… that you and others will want to stop for a few minutes and enjoy!
With such an array of what I want to accomplish is a daunting task.
So much has happened in the last several years I want a new fresh start.
Easy to read is what I’m looking for. To share and not take too much time away from your day. But still have an interest to read more and see what may land on here the next time.
I’m just so rusty on writing. sharing. designing. creating…. anything. So I’m looking forward to the pages and stuff that will land here. Until we meet again….
Have a wonderful day/night.
And may you always find blessings around you.
Happy Saturday

A Journey
This day . February 3rd . Last year . 2020
I was getting mother out of her car & into her home.
After spending days in Life Care rehabilitation for her 2nd hip break, December 3rd 2019.
What a year this has been. But we made it . No fan fare today. But could not let this day pass without so much thankfulness that I got her home. And thanks with prayers to God for her safety.

Trump Nominated
Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize Over Israel-UAE Peace Deal
BY JACK PHILLIPS February 1, 2021 Updated: February 1, 2021
Former President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize on Feb. 1 by an Estonian member of the European Parliament, Jaak Madison.
In a post on social media, Madison said: “In the last 30 years, Donald Trump is the first president of the United States, who during his tenure, has not started a war. Additionally, he signed several peace agreements in the Middle East which have helped provide stability in the region and peace.”
Madison was referring to the Abraham Accords, a joint statement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States—and later, with Bahrain and other Arab countries.
“We encourage efforts to promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue to advance a culture of peace among the three Abrahamic religions and all humanity,” according to a statement on the State Department’s website. “We believe that the best way to address challenges is through cooperation and dialogue and that developing friendly relations among States advances the interests of lasting peace in the Middle East and around the world.”
Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize last year by Norwegian Parliament member Christian Tybring-Gjedde.
“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde told Fox last year.
Separately, Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz nominated Trump’s son-in-law and former presidential adviser Jared Kushner on Feb. 1. Dershowitz—who is eligible to nominate individuals because of his status as a former Harvard Law professor—argued that Kushner and his associate Avi Berkowitz helped negotiate the Abraham Accords.

“The Nobel Peace Prize is not for popularity. Nor is it an assessment of what the international community may think of those who helped bring about peace,” Dershowitz wrote. “It is an award for fulfilling the daunting criteria set out by Alfred Nobel in his will.”
Under the diplomatic push, Trump’s administration also negotiated deals with Sudan and Morocco.
Kushner, in a statement on Jan. 31, said that he was honored to be nominated for the prize.
President Joe Biden’s administration is expected to review all national security deals struck during the Trump administration, including arms packages for the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Some lawmakers have complained about the Morocco deal because, to win the nation’s agreement, the United States recognized its sovereignty over the disputed Western Sahara.
Also on Feb. 1, the Black Lives Matter movement was nominated for the Peace Prize by a Norwegian Parliament member, Petter Eide. Eide said that people have messaged him “to say that BLM is a violent organization,” but he rejected the claims.
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded in November.

Coming Back
It has been quite a few years really since I’ve had thoughts to write let alone thoughts about posting anything….
So much has happened over these last years but within a short bit I’ll be filling in all the omitted stories. It has been quite a journey.
For the time being: Until I get used to the formats of everything again… possibly change the site title and check all the changes… I’ll leave you with one word.
Tomorrow.
There is always tomorrow, so never give up on your dreams, your depressions, your what ifs!
***Wrote this by chance a few days back . so I might as well share it with you … my neglected audience!***
WHEN WE
We are all created by one God… we all bleed blood color RED …
When we love.
We love.
When we hurt.
We hurt.
When we grieve.
We grieve.
When we have sadness…
When we have anger…
We have our own way…
But we each recognize that the others are compassionate
About others feelings .
And theirs.
Difference. Yes. Individual. Yes.
Alone. If we look & listen correctly to & with others. ..
We’re never alone.
That makes us united.
That’s what is currently lacking in this country.
We must try.
One step at a time.
Just my thoughts.

Just Before
Just before our record breaking heat this week, this was a beauty in my front just at my door step … needless to say it scorched … but Happy to say there should be a few more to bloom!

Daddy’s Playground
Daddy’s Playground
An old green colored shed tops a makeshift
Work area that once was a housing unit
For my brothers’ cage of birds, snakes and such.
Now it is filled with various sized bolts;
Some of which even the Same size, may be
Totally difference for the need…
The aged fingers reach for yet another.
The area is covered with wheels, handles and motors.
The smell of gas and oil is sometimes nauseating.
But from sun-up to sun-down…with a few short breaks in between:
We can always find
Daddy
Tinkering with lawnmowers. . . edgers:
Sharpening blades
Unclogging fuel lines
Replacing wheels
All of which have yet a few good blades to cut.
The fingers work tediously long hours
While sitting on a stool
Comprised of an old bucket with a board on top
Finished product…
A labor of love and frustration thrown in;
Here and there…
They’re wheeled out to the road, curbside;
With a sign – for sale –
And the waiting begins.
But the aged fingers reach for yet another to
Conquer – with his loyal companion at his feet
His Dog…Sable…
Daddy begins the task that will yet continue
To fulfill his hours under the old green colored
Shed; searching fingers reaching to find the
Right tools and bolts to
Sharpen blades
Unclog fuel lines
Replace wheels
Sitting on the short stool…the bucket and board.
Until the setting sun brings a dinner call
From Mother:
We know where we can find Daddy
In his playground –
With wheels and blades of steel.
Their Smell….

There is nothing like the heavenly smell of these
Angel Trumpet plants.
Remembering Daddy
Daddy
Just a NOTE.
My Daddy would be 94 today. He was a wonderful man. Mother and I miss him so much. If only he knew how much he was loved and missed.
Later, this day I’ll share some photos and perhaps a special something.
Miss you daddy. Wish I could hold your hand and hug you tight.
Wishing a Happy Friday

Angels Cry
Dear God
I hear the angels cry
They’re weeping tears
Are sad
Babies dead
Why
Dear God
I hear the angels cry
Ones we love
Cradle the body
Lifeless now are they
They’re weeping tears
Are sad
Babies dead
Why
Dear God
I hear the angles cry

White Darkness
White Darkness
Around you, are dark shadows in the night.
You are aware of the stillness in the air, but, not understanding the calming peace coming within you.
But a fright, the darkness of the shadows,
and its hold of:
The unknown…
The unseen.
Relax – as in a white room with no way of escape, but a reason for being; such a calming peace, from the dark shadows; and clothed; as the day of one’s birth.
Darkness around, but yet the feeling of fresh a new reason. To find solitude – not fright – but inner peace of white, the stillness in the air; and the calming peace. Relaxed you feel safe from harm.
It’s Death.
Acceptance of a new beginning,
or perhaps just an end.
Certainly a change – destiny.
No longer to be faced with fright of the dark shadows. But to find final peace within oneself.
As the stillness of the air, the white rooms’ serenity brings a calming welcome end.
An understanding of the darkness, the shadows,
to become white calming hope of life’s final purpose on earth
Death; Life.

Well, Well.
Its been a very long time since I’ve been here, and currently I’ve made a mess of my site,
but it will have to wait until daylight as the hour is fast approaching 4:30 am!
Was going to give you some news! Anything … until I’ve made a mistake and changed my site
layout and have no clue as to what theme I had before . . . so for now this will have to do.
Perhaps tomorrow will bring freshness to these tied eyes and ailing hands, along with the mind

Birthdays & Being Thankful!

I Turned Another Year Older
While in the car headed out to meet with two friends for lunch at The Corner Bistro. It was a GREAT lunch, with the Friends who were also with me when the Over the HILL 40th Birthday rolled around .. 22 years ago. { February 7th }
Late Yesterday (Thursday) I received a birthday card from my cousin in NC… a Phone call last night from TWO Aunts .. who then both sang “Happy Birthday” to me …
Then an e-mail this morning {Friday} from a (special) cousin in NC who said something like this “that on this day God had created a beautiful baby . and to enjoy my day” (something like that) {so I think I did OK}.. and then the lunch … arrive home…
Came home, (after checking in on Mom and Dad) & another phone call from my aunt with wishes again…. went back to Mom & Dad’s … and cake … (daddy now sleeping) SO mom and I watched the opening of the Sochi 2014 Olympics … and that was wonderful to share with my mother. (the cake was good too) …
A couple more ‘messages’ from two cousins….
So turning my age – is not bad …
I look forward to what the year has in store for me, & when things get tough as they sometimes do, I’ll have friends who will listen, give support, give hope, share LOVE…
Today – My Birthday

Two Girl Friends
We spent the lunch time this afternoon
22 years later from my previous post. { February 7th }
when we were a bit younger….
February 7th

Twenty-Two Years ago .. I was celebrating my 40th Birthday with friends…. and today, I will celebrate with two of those friends with an afternoon lunch.
Life has had its ups and downs, but that is what happens when life marches
on no matter what occurs and how hard we try and stop it or even wish the wheels could turn back.
But life, it is what we make it. I’ve done OK … not the best at times, but I’m proud of who I am as a person. And with that, that is the most important gift I can give myself… not just today, but any given day.
Be proud, Walk tall, Cry when needed, Laugh as often as you can, Love with your heart, Pray, Share the Joys and Sorrows…. GROW within ones self, so others can also grow with you.
Thankful. That I have this LIFE.
The new year approaches
Marilyn Monroe’s 1954 I.D. Card
Monroe’s I.D. card sold for $57,000.
From Bonhams description:
Though this ID card has been reproduced as a souvenir item and sold in stores and has also been seen in many books, this piece appears to be the actual one that Monroe used when she performed for the troops in Korea while she and Joe DiMaggio were on their honeymoon.
DOGGY DOOR
Could you imagine coming home from work to find this tiny creature napping on your couch with your dog? Guess who came home for dinner? It followed this beagle home, right through the doggy door This happened in Maryland recently. The owner came home to find the visitor had made himself right at home.. This hit the 6 o’clock news big time.
Isn’t this adorable? Send this to all your friends,

Meaning of the Flag Draped Coffin

How many of you knew this?
Meaning of the Flag Draped Coffin
I hope you take the time to read this … To understand what the flag draped coffin really means … Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.
Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?
Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!
The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.
The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.
The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world.
The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance ..
The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, ‘Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.’
The 6th fold is for where people’s hearts lie. It is with their heart that They pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America , and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of their republic.
The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.
The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.
The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are ! uppermost reminding them of their nations motto, ‘In God We Trust.’
After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today.
There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you’ll see flags folded and now you will know why.
Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of ‘ Liberty and Freedom.’
MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
FORWARD IT; MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM.
IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS.
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

BEST SUMMATION OF BARACK AND MICHELLE EVER! Mychal Massie is a respected writer and talk show host in Los Angeles. The other evening on my twitter, a person asked me why I didn’t like the Obama’s? Specifically I was asked: “I have to ask, why do you hate the Obama’s? It seems personal, not policy related. You even dissed (disrespect) their Christmas family picture.”
The truth is I do not like the Obamas, what they represent, their ideology, and I certainly do not like his policies and legislation. I’ve made no secret of my contempt for the Obamas. As I responded to the person who asked me the aforementioned question, I don’t like them because they are committed to the fundamental change of my/our country into what can only be regarded as a Communist state.
I don’t hate them per definition, but I condemn them because they are the worst kind of racialists, they are elitist Leninists with contempt for traditional America. They display disrespect for the sanctity of the office he holds, and for those who are willing to admit same, Michelle Obama‘s raw contempt for white America is transpicuous. I don’t like them because they comport themselves as emperor and empress.
I expect, no I demand respect, for the Office of President and a love of our country and her citizenry from the leader entrusted with the governance of same. President and Mrs. Reagan displayed an unparalleled love for the country and her people.
The Reagan’s made Americans feel good about themselves and about what we could accomplish. Obama’s arrogance by appointing 32 leftist czars and constantly bypassing congress is impeachable. Eric Holder is probably the MOST incompetent and arrogant DOJ head to ever hold the job. Could you envision President Reagan instructing his Justice Department to act like jack-booted thugs? Presidents are politicians and all politicians are known and pretty much expected to manipulate the truth, if not outright lie, but even using that low standard, the Obama’s have taken lies, dishonesty, deceit, mendacity, subterfuge and obfuscation to new depths. They are verbally abusive to the citizenry, and they display an animus for civility. I do not like them, because they both display bigotry overtly, as in the case of Harvard Professor Louis Gates, when he accused the Cambridge Police of acting stupidly, and her code speak pursuant to not being able to be proud of America. I view that statement and that mindset as an insult to those who died to provide a country where a Kenyan, his illegal alien relatives, and his alleged progeny, could come and not only live freely, but rise to the highest, most powerful, position in the world.
Michelle Obama is free to hate and disparage whites because Americans of every description paid with their blood to ensure her right to do same. I have a saying, that “the only reason a person hides things, is because they have something to hide.” No president in history has spent millions of dollars to keep his records and his past sealed. And what the two of them have shared has been proved to be lies. He lied about when and how they met, he lied about his mother’s death and problems with insurance, Michelle lied to a crowd pursuant to nearly $500,000 bank stocks they inherited from his family. He has lied about his father’s military service, about the civil rights movement, ad nausea. He lied to the world about the Supreme Court in a State of the Union address. He berated and publicly insulted a sitting Congressman. He has surrounded himself with the most rabidly, radical, socialist academicians today.
He opposed rulings that protected women and children that even Planned Parenthood did not seek to support. He is openly hostile to business and aggressively hostile to Israel. His wife treats being the First Lady as her personal American Express Black Card (arguably the most prestigious credit card in the world). I condemn them because, as people are suffering, losing their homes, their jobs, their retirements, he and his family are arrogantly showing off their life of entitlement – as he goes about creating and fomenting class warfare. I don’t like them, and I neither apologize nor retreat from my public condemnation of them and of his policies. We should condemn them for the disrespect they show our people, for his willful and unconstitutional actions pursuant to obeying the Constitutional parameters he is bound by, and his willful disregard for Congressional authority. Dislike for them has nothing to do with the color of their skin; it has everything to do with their behavior, attitudes, and policies. And I have open scorn for their constantly playing the race card. It is my intention to do all within my ability to ensure their reign is one term. I could go on, but let me conclude with this. I condemn in the strongest possible terms the media for refusing to investigate them, as they did President Bush and President Clinton, and for refusing to label them for what they truly are. There is no scenario known to man, whereby a white president and his wife could ignore laws, flaunt their position, and lord over the people, as these two are permitted out of fear for their color. As I wrote in a syndicated column titled, “Nero In The White House” – “Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood…
Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation, and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America’s people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.”
** I for one NEVER thought it appropriate for a First Lady to be Sleevless! **

A Day in the New Year
This time last night we were on the verge of a NEW YEAR here in the USA, while other parts of the world had already begun their New Year with much hope and tons of aspirations full of all the joys and excitements with laughter, family, friends, & certainly fireworks of somesort!
Today was probably filled with the traditions of doing their shopping – eating – or whatever IF anything at all.
Here Mom, Dad & I ate Greens and Black-Eyed Peas! – a Southern thing in the south of the USA!
At least that was after the events of this morning …
*** I am certain it is not what this young 18-20 year old male thought would happen to him. !!! ***
WRECK ~~~ Just outside my house. A little more and he could jhave hit my BIG oak tree or My HOUSE ~~~ so he ended uup hitting one of my palm trees ?!? and ripping off one of his tires … flattened another, two windows smashed and the passenger side … BAD! .. and the driver side as well as the passenger side .. tore up on the running boards .. and underneath.
THANKFUL that the Young man was not hurt. … at least he said not … but EMT’s did check him out … but he was sooooooooo scared. As you know, I told him that no one knows his body like he does and anything feels ‘off’ to go to ER… because it cpould come later.
I am just so GLAD that it was not worse … and I know he was glad I stopped yelling at him.
I know for fact – (yes I know – I’m not police … did not see – but I heard & I know this street and how the YOUNG drive it) that he was … as we say ‘flying’…….
I just hope it taught him a valuable lesson and that others might have learned from it too!
I will keep him in my thoughts.
OH ~~~ he also was worried because he only had ID – Not Drivers License … It was his
AUNTS SUV ~ and she stated she had No Insurance. …. So it could have been so much worse.
Now the pictures will show a little – but I’ll tell you ~ It scared the Whits out of ME!!!~~~
**** there are more – but I think you might get the idea. ****
This is my HOUSE!
The next few months / days have to be better – RIGHT!

Kijivu ~ Cradling a Miracle
Kijivu holds her newborn baby at Prague Zoo, where the staff is celebrating this rare birth of a Western lowland gorilla in captivity. The new arrival comes after one of the most tragic events in the zoo’s history.
Dec. 31, 2012: Kijivu, a female Western lowland gorilla, holds her newborn baby at Prague Zoo on Dec. 27 in Prague, Czech Republic. The baby gorilla was born on Dec. 22, just months after Kijivu’s second child, Tatu, died after accidentally hanging himself with a climbing rope. Zoo director Miroslav Bobek called the death the most tragic event at the zoo since flooding in 2002 killed more than 100 animals. (© Frantisek Vlcek/isifa/MAFRA/Getty Images)

Dec. 26, 2012: This blue heron had been looking for food in a quiet marsh when it bit off more than it could chew with a feisty snake. The snake tightly wrapped its body around the heron’s beak before the bird had the chance to bite. After 15 minutes, the heron changed technique & started to bang the snake on the ground. The reptile’s grip began to wane & the heron gulped it down. (© Peter Brannon/Caters)
SCOTCH ~ Some light laugh………..
On the first day of school, the children brought gifts for their teacher.
The supermarket manager’s daughter brought the teacher a basket of assorted fruit.
The florist’s son brought the teacher a bouquet of flowers.
The candy-store owner’s daughter gave the teacher a pretty box of candy.
Then the liquor-store owner’s son brought up a big, heavy box. The teacher lifted it up and noticed that it was leaking a little bit..She touched a drop of the liquid with her finger and tasted it.
“Is it wine?” she guessed.
“No,” the boy replied. She tasted another drop and asked, “Champagne?”
“No,” said the little boy………….”It’s a puppy!”
Talk about forgetful~?~!
I know they say with age memory can go and yes – I’m there and have been for awhile… but what is really bad is forgetting when you log into your blog site on WP it has a different theme.??
Oh ~ that’s right I did mention before that I might change it – but to forget it!? Yes I’ve lost a little more today than what I would like to admit.
I suppose shopping for a new car (as mine is 16+ years old) will do that to you.
But I think … and I say that lightly – that I might have found one I like. Not NEW mind you ~ but a newer one that I will feel will take care of things if I might need to do to take care of my Mom & Dad…. (with the little things of mine in there too) … Some of you might know that I have terminal cancer – but within the last 3 years my Dad now has cancer also ..(and in 2008 he had open heart).. was fine until this last year when things have begun to be a little harder for him… and I want to be prepared in the event he will need assistance walking or actually using a wheel chair. His legs are getting the better of him now … and might have come to the conclusion that he ‘just might’ need a ‘wheelchair’~! But we will cross that bridge if and when we (Mom & I) need too. There is just the Three (3) of us here… as I lost (Mom & Dad – Sons) both brothers & the rest of Dad’s family has passed & Mom’s in another state.
Of course there are some cousins – Nephews & Neices … but they have their own family to attend to.
So back to the car … my current car is 1996 Mercury Sable ~ I am the second owner with about 56,000 miles – original~! The one I’ve got my EYES on is a Toyota Highlander – the Sport 2008 …. looks like Champage color ..but the dealers call it Gold … either way … very nice!
Now if I can get them to take a little bit more down in price after all it is ToyotaThon~So wish me luck … oh … Dad is buying it as a gift and will not have anything else to say about it … but still I will watch $ cost.
Mother is so very tired taking care of Daddy & Daddy is frustrated that he cannot do the things he has always done. Such a very active man … all his life. Dad is 87 & Mom is 84 … So blessed to still have them in my life.
Dad’s Cancer is Melemona (skin) which went into the Lymph nodes on the left last September.
My Cancer is Multiple Myeloma — mine is Back … but I’m ok.
Mother is the strength that keeps us together … she just needs to breathe and rest.
Maybe with two of her sisters coming mid month – that will help.
So be blessed with those who are around you & in your life.
I’m so very thankful.
This is the one with my EyE on it!
WHO CARES ????
I’m retired. Go around me.
