Welcome September 2024

REAL TIRED trying to get this WORDPRESS site for my ART going. Every time I think I’ve got it RIGHT, NOT! … The themes are not meant for ‘artists … only photographers and their photos. Well, I don’t have time to do photographs all the time .. but I do make time to fiddle with creative applications that bring me relaxation and joy…. and all I wanted to do was share some of me, and have something to hold on to! But that really seems impossible!
IFANYONE reads this and would like to suggest, I’m all ears. I’m sure that SUPPORT with WP is tired of seeing and trying to help me ..but that’s what they do .. and lag with my time schedule. Oh WELL! …I’m so frustrated. I’d love to scream, and scream, and scream, at the top of my lungs and then cry, cry, cry…. but people would think that I was loosing my mind and mad. NO, I just really need an outlet, without my mom who is 95, and in failing health to see me upset. BUT it scares the HELL out of me. So I’m Upset. I’m Frustrated. So, thanks for letting me vent .. and one day when things get ironed out: I’ll stop in and see what all of you have to say.
Until anther day… On this is now Sunday isn’t it?
Thanks for the venting!

Well, maybe, just maybe…I MIGHT have gotten the art site up.
If you’re able … take a peek and let me know what it’s doing and
what I might be missing! It has certainly been a ‘bee in my bonnet’
and just about gotten the very best of me, bring out an ugly frustration!
SO, Hopefully we will see! Have a Great day and week ahead!
There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So, as she was getting her things “in order,” she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.
She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.
Everything was in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.
“There’s one more thing,” she said excitedly.
“What’s that?” came the Pastor’s reply.
“This is very important,” the young woman continued. “I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.”
The Pastor stood looking at the young woman, not knowing quite what to say.
That surprises you, doesn’t it?” the young woman asked.
“Well, to be honest, I’m puzzled by the request,” said the Pastor.
The young woman explained. “My grandmother once told me this story, and from that time on I have always tried to pass along its message to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement. In all my years of attending socials and dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, ‘Keep your fork.’ It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming…..like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance!
So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder, “What’s with the fork?” Then I want you to tell them: “Keep your fork, the best is yet to come.”
The Pastor’s eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the
of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She had a better grasp of what heaven would be like than many people twice her age, with twice as much experience and knowledge. She KNEW that something better was coming.
At the funeral, people were walking by the young woman’s casket and they saw the cloak she was wearing and the fork placed in her right hand. Repeatedly the Pastor heard the question, “What’s with the fork?” And over and over, he smiled.
During his message, the Pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the young woman shortly before she died He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. He told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.
He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork let it remind you, ever so gently, that the best is yet to come. Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us.
Show your friends how much you care. Remember to always be there for them, even when you need them more. For you never know when it may be their time to “Keep their fork.”
Cherish the time you have, and the memories you share … being friends with someone is not an opportunity but a sweet responsibility.
And keep your fork.

This was sent from a friend, and I wish I knew the writer at the end to Thank her for sharing it! It is a wonderful laugh!
Enjoy!
As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.
The trucker lowers the window, and she says, “Hi, my name is Heather and you are losing some of your load.”
The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street. When the truck stops for another red light, the girl catches up again. She jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the window.
Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they’ve never spoken, the blonde says brightly, “Hi my name is Heather, and you are losing some of your load!”
Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down the street.
At the third red light, the same thing happens again. All out of breath, the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, knocks on the truck window.
The trucker lowers the window. Again she says, “Hi, my name is Heather, and you are losing some of your load!”
When the light turns green the trucker revs up and races to the next light. When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the truck, and runs back to the blonde. He knocks on her window, and as she lowers it, he says…
“Hi, my name is Kevin, it’s winter in Minnesota and I’m driving the SALT TRUCK!”
COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing
that our government can track a cow born in Canada
almost three years ago, right to the stall where she
sleeps in the state of Washington? And, they tracked
her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million
illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we
should give them all a cow.
THE CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for
Iraq. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written
by a lot of really smart guys, it’s worked for over
200 years and we’re not using it anymore.
TEN COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten
Commandments in a courthouse……..
You cannot post
“Thou Shalt Not Steal,” “Thou Shalt Not Commit
Adultery” and “Thou Shall Not Lie” in a building full
of lawyers, judges and politicians — it creates a
hostile work environment.
A blonde woman was having financial troubles so she decided to kidnap a child and demand a ransom. She went to a local park, grabbed a little boy, took him behind a tree and wrote a note. “I have kidnapped your child. I am sorry to do this but I need the money. Leave $10,000 in a plain brown bag behind the big oak tree in the park at 7AM.” Signed, “The Blonde.”
She pinned the note inside the little boy’s jacket and told him to go straight home. The next morning, she returned to the park to find the $10,000 in a brown bag behind the big oak tree, just as she had instructed. Inside the bag with the cash was the following note. “Here is your money. I cannot believe that one blonde would do this to another.”
…..true story…..(at least the e-Mail said so!)
This is just too funny not to share. Excerpted from an article which
appeared in the Dublin Times about a bank robbery on March 2.
Once inside the bank shortly after midnight, their efforts at
disabling the security system got underway immediately. The
robbers, who expected to find one or two large safes filled with
cash & valuables, were surprised to see hundreds of smaller safes
throughout the bank.
The robbers cracked the first safe’s combination, and inside they
found only a small bowl of vanilla pudding.
As recorded on the bank’s audio tape system, one robber said, ‘At
least we’ll have a bit to eat.’
The robbers opened up a second safe, and it also contained nothing but
vanilla pudding. The process continued until all s safes were opened.
They did not find one pound sterling, a diamond , or an ounce of gold.
Instead, all the safes contained covered bowls of pudding.
Disappointed, the robbers made a quiet exit, each leaving with
nothing more than a queasy, uncomfortably full stomach. The
newspaper headline read:
IRELAND’S LARGEST SPERM BANK ROBBED EARLY THIS MORNING…
A wealthy man was having an affair with an Italian woman for several years. One night, during one of their rendezvous, she confided in him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a large sum of money, if she would go to Italy to secretly have the child. If she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18. She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discrete, he told her to simply mail him a post card and write “Spaghetti” on the back. He would then arrange for child support payments to begin.
One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife. “Honey,” she said. “You received a very strange post card today.”
“Oh, just give it to me and I’ll explain it,” he said.
The wife obeyed and watched as her husband read the card, turned white and fainted.
On the card was written: “Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti. Two with meatballs, one without.

April 5th • Her Birthday
#ImBlessed

A woman goes to Italy to attend a 2-week, company training session.
Her husband drives her to the airport and wishes her to have a good trip.
The wife answers: “Thank you honey, what would you like me to bring for you?”
The husband laughs and says: “An Italian girl!!!”
The woman kept quiet and left.
Two weeks later he picks her up in the airport and asks: “So, honey, how was the trip?”
“Very good, thank you.” “And, what happened to my present?” “Which present?” She asked.
“The one I asked for – an Italian girl!!”
“Oh, that” she said “Well, I did what I could, now we have to wait for nine months to see if it is a girl !!!”
Moral of the story: Don’t tempt a woman, they are far too intelligent!
(Every penny counts)(Interesting E-Mail)(a few years back)
I don’t know what you guys are paying for gasoline….Here in California we are also paying higher, up to $3.00 per gal.. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are so me tricks to get more of your money’s worth for every gallon.
Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.
TIP #1: Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets war me r gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening….your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role. A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
TIP #2: When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, so me of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.
TIP #3: One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
TIP #4: VERY IMPORTANT: Another reminder. If there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up–most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered and you might pick up so me of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.
WHAT TO DO TO CELEBRATE A LIFE – 95 YEARS
—————————————————————-
Does not seem possible that I’m so blessed to still have my mother, who will turn a wondrous 95 years of age April 5th
((I’m writing this . 10 days before . It’s the 27th of March 1 am))
I could not be more blessed than I am right now.
I love her more than she has any idea . And I know she loves more more than I have any idea …
But we are always there for each other…. even in times of disagreements… we are together always.
LOOKING AHEAD . – – . A celebration of her LIFE –
Not her Birthday – (don’t celebrate) But acknowledge her LIFE.
I know that there is no family here, she’s stuck with just me… but perhaps you’d like to show a bit of love to her.!.
READ & YOU’LL UNDERSTAND.

My Mother:
Forever my Mother is a beautiful lady, who was also a sister, a wife, a mother & even an aunt & taken too soon, the title of a grandmother… and a loyal friend.

Honored that she is my Mom ![]()

A man and his wife are awakened at 3 o’clock in the morning by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.
“Not a chance,” says the husband, “it is three o’clock in the morning!” He slams the door and returns to bed.
“Who was that?” asked his wife.
“Just some drunk guy asking for a push,” he answers.
“Did you help him?” she asks.
“No, I did not, it is three in the morning and it is pouring outside!”
“Well, you have a short memory,” says his wife. “Can’t you remember about three months ago when we broke down and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!”
The man does as he’s told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pouring rain. He calls out into the dark,
“Hello, are you still there?”
“Yes,” comes back the answer.
“Do you still need a push?” calls out the husband.
“Yes, please!” comes the reply from the dark.
“Where are you?” asks the husband.
Replies the drunk – “Over here on the swing!”
A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, right up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, “I would like to buy some cyanide.”
The pharmacist asked, “Why in the world do you need cyanide?”
The lady replied, “I need it to poison my husband.”
The pharmacist’s eyes got big and he exclaimed, “Lord have mercy! I can’t give you cyanide to kill your husband! That’s against the law! I’ll lose my license! They’ll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!”
The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist’s wife.
The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, “Well now. That’s different. You didn’t tell me you had a prescription. “
Do NOT try this at home! LOL!

A store that sells new husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:
You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights.
The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 – These men Have Jobs. She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:
Floor 2 – These men Have Jobs and Love Kids. “That’s nice”, she thinks, “but I want more.” So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 – These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking. “Wow,” she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 4 – These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop Dead Good Looking and Help With Housework. “Oh, mercy me!” she exclaims, “I can hardly stand it! “Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 5 – These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop Dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak. She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:
Floor 6 – You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
PLEASE NOTE:
To avoid gender bias charges, the store’s owner opened a
New Wives store just across the street.
The first floor has wives that love sex.
The second floor has wives that love sex and have money.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.
If it’s not too much to ask, I’d really like an honest opinion.
About Web Sights
Yes I know I’m here on WordPress .. but what other might you use for other venues?
Blogger? GoDaddy? I’m not even sure of what all is out here. Or do you put all your eggs into one basket … here (or elsewhere).
I’m torn, because of cost, but I have so many poems that I’d really like to showcase, as there is a book with a title in the library of congress with Copyright… but I’ll probably never get it fully proofed as it should, so one or two at a time will work.
Creative ART & my Hand-Painted glass. Yes, I guess I’ve had my hands in a few things throughout the years with so many interruptions… I just need to try and focus on one or two and show what I’m capable of!
That’s why my question.
And with WordPress… It’s a pain sometimes, trying as now to compose and it keeps moving words into other parts as it pleases! I also like the poetry to be displayed as I wrote them.. NOT everything is up and down left to right ..and I want it to be shown as I wrote them and intended for them to be. AND different fonts are always a way of expression with me.
I do hope that someone will read, understand this and help me out. My time is precious as I’m a caregiver of my Mother who will be 95 in April. So my time, is when I can I want to grab an easy place to Hang My Hat!
Thank You for your time.
Daddy’s Story Through My Eyes
It has been quite some time since I’ve put anything on ‘paper’ but I’m going to give this a try, once again.
So much has changed in these last few years, where to begin.
My DADDY began having issues and neither Mother nor myself recognized what was happening, after all he was up in years! So no need to worry, right? Wrong. Daddy was in the stages of Alzheimer’s. The later stage I guess you’d call it. That began in 2013 when we really noticed, but little did we know it has been approaching for some time.
The SIGNS of this horrible disease, was and still is too little. The signs were there, if only we had known. Times when Mother would have to remember ow they drove to a place so she could help daddy get them back out. That was a sign. But just old age… NOT. It was a subtle sign. Ignored. Not knowing how to write a check or making sure the numbers were correct. I remember vividly one afternoon. Daddy always cut his yard and mine (I live across the street) and loved doing it, as it kept him active & as a young man and Daddy, he had done ‘a many a one’ to help support his family, so he knew how to cut yards & keep them up etc. This one day, I called mom and asked he if Daddy felt OK… why she asked… because he’s cutting the yard (backyard which is very small) all wrong. He’s cutting & throwing the grass into the flower beds that has just been mulched. She say, no… not that she knew of, so we both just figured it was an ‘Off’ day, once again, due to ‘age’. That’s when we began paying a little more and closer attention to the actions and saw that something was definitely wrong. Perhaps he had cancer again, or his heart needed attention again.
In Apr.il of 2013 we tricked daddy going for a ride and took him to the ER
….Back to writing this ….
That was the beginning of a discovery we knew nothing about and still there is little known things to alert the loved ones.
What’s ahead is devastating. For everyone, including the loved one your watching go down hill with no way to stop it, no way to tell them and understand that you’ll be there for them and you’ll love them forever and always.
Alzheimer’s Disease……
DADDY. Back to our story of Daddy….
WELL, I suppose this will have to wait until another time .yet again. but for now, perhaps someone, if only me will read and understand the trial and tribulations that have occurred over the last several years .. and that does not begin to touch the surface of my mother and I dealing with that and the other issues that tagged along and others that arose!
So until another post.another day. stay well.
This is the last day of my life with the age of 70!
It’s been a tumble few years, but all in all, grateful for the times I’ve had and shared
with my Mother who will turn 95 in April. She is a true tough cookie, as the old saying goes! She and I together we’ve tried to conquer the hurdles that have come our way.
So this last day of being 70 … I’m so grateful for this time. Tomorrow is not promised, but praying that the dayand weeks and months ahead will shine light on mother and I!
Until later, may your day be one of blessings.
We’ll meet again.
Being 12 again, while watching the #BEATLES 50 years later.
An experience #flashback!

I Turned Another Year Older
While in the car headed out to meet with two friends for lunch at The Corner Bistro. It was a GREAT lunch, with the Friends who were also with me when the Over the HILL 40th Birthday rolled around .. 22 years ago. { February 7th }

Came home, (after checking in on Mom and Dad) & another phone call from my aunt with wishes again…. went back to Mom & Dad’s … and cake … (daddy now sleeping) SO mom and I watched the opening of the Sochi 2014 Olympics … and that was wonderful to share with my mother. (the cake was good too) …
A couple more ‘messages’ from two cousins….
So turning my age – is not bad …

How many of you knew this?
Meaning of the Flag Draped Coffin
I hope you take the time to read this … To understand what the flag draped coffin really means … Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.
Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?
Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!
The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.
The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.
The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world.
The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance ..
The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, ‘Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.’
The 6th fold is for where people’s hearts lie. It is with their heart that They pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America , and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of their republic.
The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.
The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.
The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are ! uppermost reminding them of their nations motto, ‘In God We Trust.’
After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today.
There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you’ll see flags folded and now you will know why.
Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of ‘ Liberty and Freedom.’
MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
FORWARD IT; MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM.
IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS.
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

I know they say with age memory can go and yes – I’m there and have been for awhile… but what is really bad is forgetting when you log into your blog site on WP it has a different theme.??
Oh ~ that’s right I did mention before that I might change it – but to forget it!? Yes I’ve lost a little more today than what I would like to admit.
I suppose shopping for a new car (as mine is 16+ years old) will do that to you.
But I think … and I say that lightly – that I might have found one I like. Not NEW mind you ~ but a newer one that I will feel will take care of things if I might need to do to take care of my Mom & Dad…. (with the little things of mine in there too) … Some of you might know that I have terminal cancer – but within the last 3 years my Dad now has cancer also ..(and in 2008 he had open heart).. was fine until this last year when things have begun to be a little harder for him… and I want to be prepared in the event he will need assistance walking or actually using a wheel chair. His legs are getting the better of him now … and might have come to the conclusion that he ‘just might’ need a ‘wheelchair’~! But we will cross that bridge if and when we (Mom & I) need too. There is just the Three (3) of us here… as I lost (Mom & Dad – Sons) both brothers & the rest of Dad’s family has passed & Mom’s in another state.
Of course there are some cousins – Nephews & Neices … but they have their own family to attend to.
So back to the car … my current car is 1996 Mercury Sable ~ I am the second owner with about 56,000 miles – original~! The one I’ve got my EYES on is a Toyota Highlander – the Sport 2008 …. looks like Champage color ..but the dealers call it Gold … either way … very nice!
Now if I can get them to take a little bit more down in price after all it is ToyotaThon~So wish me luck … oh … Dad is buying it as a gift and will not have anything else to say about it … but still I will watch $ cost.
Mother is so very tired taking care of Daddy & Daddy is frustrated that he cannot do the things he has always done. Such a very active man … all his life. Dad is 87 & Mom is 84 … So blessed to still have them in my life.
Dad’s Cancer is Melemona (skin) which went into the Lymph nodes on the left last September.
My Cancer is Multiple Myeloma — mine is Back … but I’m ok.
Mother is the strength that keeps us together … she just needs to breathe and rest.
Maybe with two of her sisters coming mid month – that will help.
So be blessed with those who are around you & in your life.
I’m so very thankful.
This is the one with my EyE on it!
I was visiting my son and daughter-in-law last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.
“This is the 21st century, old man” he said. “We don’t waste money on newspapers. Here, you can borrow my iPod.”
I can tell you, that fly never knew what hit it…
Well – I’ve got a lot of reading of post to catch up on … but I will get around to it…hopefully soon.
Today marked a milestone for me — ONE YEAR — Not smoking! I could not be more proud. Had tried before and never worked – glad this time was a charm … while it was hard, well worth it!
Turned 60 back in February! Yea! I guess.!! Well at least I’m here.
My Cancer is back – but that is OK … My DAD’S cancer is back and that is the one that I’m most worried about. He will be in a research test study – beginning soon … and I pray that that will take all the cancer away. He will be 87 in April 0 and Mom will be 84 in April.
When I found out in December that my cancer was back *( we did not know about dad’s yet)* I started wanting to get health in order (and try before I turned 60) that when it came time for treatment I would know what I would be dealing with! Well good intentions – right – when Dad picked me up from the Eye Doctor on January 5th and heading home (less then 1/4 mile) someone ran a stop sign and hit us – on driver side – daddy – but OK…..Then on February 4th – just before my Birthday …. went to store (Winn Dixie) … picked up a few things and proceded to LOCK my keys in the trunk! Called Dad to please bring set of spare keys … and while waiting for him, I FELL and broke my RIGHT wrist in two places . at the wrist and into the thumb! Still trying to recover from this! Then March 6th is when we found that Dad cancer back. I’m still trying to keep things together.
Over the Holidays (or December and into January) – Mothers Sister(s) throught state and one stayed with Mom for awhile – we had fun with them (her) … (remember I live across from my parents) .. One sister pased through … going on a cruise and brought the other sister for a visit…both Mom & that Sister got sick! Mom’s brother came via his plane a took sister back to NC … then she was able to cone back again … this time Mom and She were NOT SICK!
Then My Dad’s Sister – his only sibling left – died of Cancer… on January 11th.
So — that is just a short re-cap of what I’ve been trying to do and why I’ve not been writing or responding – in December – wanted a break to get things in order with my health … and well as you can see I’m still working on it.
This is hoping that all of you are doing better and having a great 1st quarter of this new year.
I beg .. for prayers .. and hope to be Up & Running again here soon….
UNTIL then … HUGS!

This is just one of those things that I’ve hated doing for all the years
(don’t go there) that I’ve been grown enough to do – yet the ‘art’
of doing this has always infurated me
to the point of just doing it quick and putting it in the closet.
Perhaps NOW with this I just might be able to perfect it!
For those who can’t stand the scrunching and bunching:
how to perfectly fold a fitted sheet.
See – now maybe I can fold those sheets – can you – or will
you be learning with me?

Take change of this life
and make it a good one.

sorrow we bare…
while growing old.
These memories we build

BUILD that love
for all to see.
They’ll think back;
long after we’re gone,
of the good times we had,
not in sorrow…
but SONG!

Chilling Letter from a Proctor & Gamble Executive to
President Obama
By Lou Pritchett, Procter & Gamble
(THE LAST SENTENCE IS THE MOST CHILLING)
Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America’s true living legends – an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world’s highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize Him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as “partnering.” Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history.
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no Visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail..
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America ‘ crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh’s, Hannitys, O’Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
Lou Pritchett
This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged it. Big surprise! Since it hit the Internet, however, it has had over 500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that is necessary for evil to succeed Is that good men do nothing.. It’s happening right now.
The CHANGE is here!! 90% of Americans will forward this.

Shown below, is an actual letter that was sent to a bank by an 86 year old woman. The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in the New York Times.
Dear Sir:
I am writing to thank you for bouncing my check with which I endeavored to pay my plumber last month.
By my calculations, three nanoseconds must have elapsed between his presenting the check and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honor it.
I refer, of course, to the automatic monthly deposit of my entire pension, an arrangement which, I admit, has been in place for only eight years.
You are to be commended for seizing that brief window of opportunity, and also for debiting my account $30 by way of penalty for the inconvenience caused to your bank.
My thankfulness springs from the manner in which this incident has caused me to rethink my errant financial ways. I noticed that whereas I personally answer your telephone calls and letters, but when I try to contact you, I am confronted by the impersonal, overcharging, pre-recorded, faceless entity which your bank has become.
From now on, I, like you, choose only to deal with a flesh-and-blood person.
My mortgage and loan repayments will therefore and hereafter no longer be automatic, but will arrive at your bank, by check, addressed personally and confidentially to an employee at your bank whom you must nominate.
Be aware that it is an OFFENSE under the Postal Act for any other person to open such an envelope.
Please find attached an Application Contact which I require your chosen employee to complete.
I am sorry it runs to eight pages, but in order that I know as much about him or her as your bank knows about me, there is no alternative.
Please note that all copies of his or her medical history must be countersigned by a Notary Public, and the mandatory details of his/her financial situation (income, debts, assets and liabilities) must be accompanied by documented proof.
In due course, at MY convenience, I will issue your employee with a PIN number which he/she must quote in dealings with me.
I regret that it cannot be shorter than 28 digits but, again, I have modeled it on the number of button presses required of me to access my account balance on your phone bank service.
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Let me level the playing field even further. When you call me, press buttons as follows:
IMMEDIATELY AFTER DIALLING, PRESS THE STAR (*) BUTTON FOR ENGLISH
#1. To make an appointment to see me
#2. To query a missing payment.
# 3. To transfer the call to my living room in case I am there.
#4 To transfer the call to my bedroom in case I am sleeping
#5. To transfer the call to my toilet in case I am attending to nature.
#6. To transfer the call to my mobile phone if I am not at home.
#7. To leave a message on my computer, a password to access my computer is required.
Password will be communicated to you at a later date to that Authorized Contact mentioned earlier.
#8. To return to the main menu and to listen to options 1 through 7.
#9. To make a general complaint or inquiry. The contact will then be put on hold, pending the attention of my automated answering service.
#10. This is a second reminder to press* for English.
While this may, on occasion, involve a lengthy wait, uplifting music will play for the duration of the call.
Regrettably, but again following your example, I must also levy an establishment fee to cover the setting up of this new arrangement.
May I wish you a happy, if ever so slightly less prosperous New Year?
Your Humble Client
And remember: Don’t make old People mad. We don’t like being old in the first place, so it doesn’t take much to piss us off.

September 11, 2011 – When America and the American way was Attacked!
The Twin Towers, The Field, The Pentagon
With the Memorial years in the making – lets show our way of celebrating their lives for us.
What would be nice to do for the upcoming (just around the corner) for the Ten (10) Years that changed all of our lives in some way or another …. It is something that I will never forget … and I know that there are so many more that will not forget either. AND that does not include any of the family members and their friends of those lost.
That was a Day of BLACK! September 11, 2001
I would like to start something … to show that all of those within the Social Media and beyond come together to let the families know we will NEVER Forget.
Everyone has a T- shirt or Shirt — THAT is WHITE!
Let’s turn the Day of BLACK into the DAY OF WHITE….
EVERYONE wear WHITE SHIRTS on September 11, 2011 …. the TEN Years We Have Not Forgotten & Will Never Forget!
Wear them the days of
September 9th … 10th & 11th …
Friday is a WORK DAY – so maybe the OFFICE you work will
do something!
Saturday is usually a FUN DAY – Family & Friends Plans!
Sunday is the Day it turned BLACK and WE WILL turn it WHITE!
Friday – Saturday – Sunday the days to start healing
Can we start this going around and see where it ends.
I will never see the actual memorial but it would be wonderful to see thos white shirts
showing the WORLD we did NOT Forget … Remember there were not just Americans
who were lost that day … It was a day that the AMERICAN peopel came together
and we can do this again in a positive way!
Wear White to show the LOVE we have & the LOVE we all lost that Day!
